For more than 35 years, the Eastern Pennsylvania Amateur Radio Association (EPARA) has proudly served the amateur radio community throughout the Pocono Mountains.

Our mission is to promote amateur radio through education, skill development, fellowship, and community service. We welcome licensed amateur radio operators as well as anyone interested in learning more about this exciting hobby.

Serving Our Community

EPARA is committed to supporting our local communities by providing reliable emergency and public service communications whenever the need arises. Through training, preparedness, and volunteer service, our members help support community events and provide communications assistance during emergency situations.

Proudly Affiliated with the ARRL

Since 1995, EPARA has been an affiliated club of the American Radio Relay League (ARRL), the national association for amateur radio in the United States.

Through our affiliation and club activities, members can take advantage of licensing resources, amateur radio license examinations, educational programs, operating events, contests, technical knowledge, and much more.

Everyone Is Welcome

Whether you’re an experienced amateur radio operator, newly licensed, or simply curious about getting started, you’ll find a welcoming community at EPARA.

Interested in getting your amateur radio license? EPARA now offers electronic license testing at 6:00 PM on the second Thursday of each month, before our regular club meeting.

73, and we hope to see you there!
